The Commons is the first of it’s kind in the country to
house a continuum of adult educational services under one
roof.
The Commons will house the following
agencies:
Alternative Horizons -
To offer assistance and
alternatives to victims/survivors of domestic violence and
to educate the residents of the community about such abuse.

Alzheimer’s Association
- For 25 years, the Colorado Chapter has lead the fight
against Alzheimer's disease and related disorders by
increasing the understanding of dementia and its impact on
family and community, providing information and support for
those affected, and promoting the advancement of research.

Durango Adult Education
Center – The nonprofit Durango Adult Education Center
promotes lifelong learning programs for adults and families
that strengthen literacy skills and encourage personal
development.

- As Colorado's public liberal arts

College (PCC) has provided the education and training that

Sexual Assault Services
Organization - SASO provides a
24-hour rape crisis hotline and support services for those
who have been sexually assaulted and their friends and
family.

Southwest Conservation Corps - Southwest Conservation
Corps (SCC) is a non-profit employment, job training, and
education organization with locations in Durango and
Alamosa, Colorado, and Tucson, Arizona. SCC hires young
adults ages 14 to 25 and organizes them into crews focused
on completing conservation projects on public lands.
